Crafty mum covers her son’s ENTIRE bedroom in wrapping paper and blames it on his Elf on the Shelf

A CRAFTY mum spent hours wrapping her entire son’s bedroom in wrapping paper – to convince him the Elf on the Shelf was real.

Charlotte Preston, 27, decided to step up her festive antics in a bid to reassure Conrad, eight, that the elves were monitoring his behaviour in the run up to Christmas.

Charlotte, from Lancashire, had used Elf on the shelf pranks for the past three years to entertain her son, so decided to take things to the next level to ensure the ruse continued.

She wanted to show Conrad that his elves, Noelle and Buddy, were watching his every move, so decided to wrap his entire bedroom in wallpaper.

Charlotte roped her brother in to help her, after being inspired by seeing a similar prank online.

She said: “I saw a tree covered in wrapping paper that someone had done and blamed on their elf on the shelf, so I knew I had to give it a go myself.

"Because Conrad is currently having his bedroom decorated, a lot of the furniture was already out of the way, so myself and my brother decided to wrap it up.

"It took us a total of five hours, one broken tape dispenser and cost £7 due to us using five rolls of wrapping paper.

"I have definitely outdone myself in comparison to the other years I have done this – it was definitely the most extreme!"

Charlotte confirmed Conrad was shocked when he saw his redecorated bedroom – and he’d been on his best behaviour ever since.

Plus this woman threatened to divorce her husband after he covered their entire kitchen in wrapped paper.

Meanwhile parents are raving about a £10 felt tree which they say keeps kids entertained for hours.

And shoppers are snapping up Spice Girls themed decorations saying it’s what they’ve always wanted for their tree.

Woman lets her boyfriend cut her fringe and it ends up looking like Lloyd’s from Dumb and Dumber

A woman was left channelling an unlikely style icon after letting her boyfriend cut her fringe… for the first and probably last time.

The result of the handy job left 21-year-old Amyleigh looking like Llloyd from Dumb and Dumber.

Make-up artist Amyleigh Weaver from Halifax, Yorkshire noticed that her blonde fringe was starting to get unruly.

And looking for a quick tidy up she asked her constriction worker boyfriend to do the deed.

No doubt trusting that he would have a steady hand because of his profession, the 21-year-old allowed her man to run wild on her mane.

But unfortunately her 20-year-old beau, Francis Plaka, got a little too chop-happy with an electric razor and ended up lobbing off most of her hair into a very short fringe.

And the result was that she looked like Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber, as brought to life by Jim Carrey.

The make-up artist explained that despite it being the first time he had cut her hair "He seemed very confident in doing so and I trusted him.

"He got the electric razor and then started to cut away. I told him what to do and I let him get on with it. After he was done, he just looked at me and said sorry."

I would not recommend any other girls let their boyfriend cut their hair, as it will probably all go wrong

After checking out her new image in the mirror she said she "went mental" when she saw the hair-raising results.

But she decided to see the funny side of the epic fail and soon "started laughing" at how she looked.

Despite the blunder, the couple – who live together – haven't let it affect their year-long relationship and are still going strong.

Amyleigh revealed: "My boyfriend felt really guilty about it. I regret letting him do it, but at the end of the day it is just hair and it will grow out.

"I would not recommend any other girls let their boyfriend cut their hair, as it will probably all go wrong unless he is a hairdresser."

Holly Willoughby shows off her legs in plunging dress slashed almost to the navel for The Jonathan Ross Show – The Sun

HOLLY Willoughby looked incredible as she showcased her legs in a plunging minidress for The Jonathan Ross Show.

The This Morning star, 38, slipped into a chic black number slashed nearly to the navel to film the ITV show and was joined on set by Girls star Lena Dunham.

The meeting with the US actress left Holly starstruck as they took a selfie behind the scenes.

Holly wrote: "One of life’s shining lights… @lenadunham."

Lena replied to the Instagram post with two love hearts.

After filming, Holly headed to the This Morning Christmas party attended by all the regular faces working on the show.

She sat midway down the table next to Kem Cetinay and they were joined by Phillip Schofield, Rochelle Humes and the Speakmans to name but a few.

It proved to be a very boozy night with Phillip revealing this morning on Snapchat that he had a horrific hangover as he tried to remedy it by eating cheese.

The presenter filmed the night out which included a sweary walk to the venue where he laughed with his co-stars.

Earlier in the day Holly giggled nervously as Jack Whitehall made a cheeky joke about her having sex in public on This Morning.

The 31-year-old comic was stunned earlier this year when a couple were kicked out of the London Palladium audience for allegedly having sex as he filmed his Christmas special with dad Michael.

Jack and Michael appeared on This Morning to discuss the show – and the star couldn't resist making a crude joke at Holly's expense.

Explaining what happened, he shared: "It was so weird, filming the show at the London Palladium and there was a big ruckus up in the gods. I thought it was a fight so just ignored it thinking it's better not to draw attention to it.

"Afterwards, security came up to me like: 'You'll never guess what that was' – it was a couple making out."

He awkwardly clarified: "Like… Full-on making out, things you can't say on daytime television but you can fill in the blanks…  Twice!

"Because they left, and went to the toilets and got thrown out of there as well.

"Apparently they are a couple that do it in theatres around the West End to get their rocks off."

Addressing Holly, he continued: "Also, we had a guestlist of all family friends so you're kind of worried… in fact, I think you and [husband] Dan were invited….?"

Immediately flushing pink, Holly exclaimed: "It definitely wasn't us!"

Co-host Phillip Schofield joked: "You did say you left the show early the other day…"

With the blonde beauty in full-blown hysterics she further insisted: "Not guilty, not me!"

Jack kept the giggles coming throughout the live TV chat, with Holly regularly blushing as the raunchy comedian made a series of innuendos.

Emma Stone Just Announced Her Engagement To Dave McCary In A Super Low-Key Way

Wedding bells are ringing in an Oscar winner’s future. Emma Stone is engaged to Dave McCary, her longtime beau. The actor showed off a pretty impressive diamond ring in an Instagram photo with her new fiancé, seemingly announcing her engagement, in an Instagram post on Wednesday, Dec. 4. McCary, who shared the photo, captioned the photo with a simple heart emoji. A representative for Stone also confirmed the engagement to Bustle.

Stone is known for never talking about her personal life, so you’d be forgiven if you had no clue these two were even dating. But, Stone and McCary have reportedly been dating since 2017 — they were first spotted out together in June of that year — and they’ve been spotted out and about a few times since then. Earlier this year, they made a rare public appearance together at the SAG Awards, where Stone was nominated for two awards, for her performances in Manic and The Favourite. He was also spotted sitting next to her at the 2019 Oscars, where she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress.

It’s unclear how the couple first met, but they do work in the same circles. McCary is a writer and director on Saturday Night Live. And according to IMDB, he directed a segment when Stone hosted the show in 2016 — a mock commercial for "Wells for Boys." (McCary also directed the infamous Ryan Gosling "Papyrus" sketch.)

Stone previously fueled engagement rumors in April, when she was spotted out and about wearing a diamond ring on her ring finger, as noted by Elle. That said, given this recent Instagram announcement, it seems that may have just been a false alarm.

If, however, you’re hoping to read about the (no doubt very romantic) proposal story in the press, you might be out of luck. Stone has rarely addressed her relationships with the media. "I understand the interest in it completely, because I’ve had it too," she told The Wall Street Journal in 2015 of the speculation about her romantic life. "But it’s so special to me that it never feels good to talk about, so I just continually don’t talk about it."

Stone might want to keep the details of her engagement to herself, but there’s no hiding that ring — or her happiness in their announcement photo.

Taraji P. Henson details her struggle with depression, anxiety

Taraji B. Henson says her depression would get so bad before she got help that she felt like she was in a “dark cloud.”

“I noticed the mood swings, like, you know, one day I would be up and the next day I would be down, feeling like I don’t want to go out in public, almost agoraphobic,” the 49-year-old “Empire” actress said in a new interview with Self magazine.

“There would be days when my brain wouldn’t stop racing with the worst scenarios in the world, which would heighten my anxiety,” she said. “There was no shame when I started to recognize it. It was like, ‘I have to get some help,’ because I’m the life of the party and when I go dark, I go dark. I don’t want to leave the house.”

Henson decided to seek the help of a therapist, who she found through “Empire” co-star Gabourey Sidibe.

“When you find that right person, oh my God, the sky cracks open,” she said. “It was extremely important for me to find a therapist who is a black woman, just because black women live in a different world than everyone else. Our problems, daily interactions, and expectations are different than most other people, so I wanted a therapist who I could cut through the societal foundation of who I am with, so that we could get to my specific issues.”

Henson also told the magazine that the “strong black woman” trope is a myth, and thinks it’s dangerous.

“There are some times where I feel absolutely helpless,” she said. “That’s human. Everybody feels like that. Just because I’m a black woman, don’t put that strong-superhero thing on me.”

Henson launched the Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation, named after her father, in 2018. The nonprofit aims to end the stigma surrounding mental health in the black community.

Baby is killed by her cat after it fell asleep on her face in Ukraine

Baby girl is killed by her cat: Mother finds nine-month-old daughter dead after pet went to sleep on the child’s face as she had a nap and suffocated her

  • Snezhana, 22, left baby Alexandra asleep in a pram outside while she did chores
  • Cat climbed into the pram and fell asleep on the nine-month-old girl’s face
  • By the time Snezhana realised what had happened, the girl was not breathing
  • Medics spent 40 minutes trying to revive the girl, but their efforts were in vain

A nine-month-old baby girl has been killed by a cat after the pet fell asleep on her face and suffocated her, Ukrainian police have said.

Nine-month-old Alexandra had been left asleep in her pram in the back yard of 22-year-old mother Snezhana’s house while she did housework.

Snezhana, who lives in the Vinnytsia region of eastern Ukraine, around 125 miles from Kiev, came to check on the girl when she found a cat asleep on her face.

Mother Snezhana, 22, from eastern Ukraine, was doing housework when she put nine-month-old baby Alexandra outside in her pram

While Snezhana wasn’t looking, one of the family’s pet cats got into the pram and fell asleep on the girl’s face. By the time Snezhana realised what had happened, the girl wasn’t breathing

The cat jumped out of the pram and ran away, and Snezhana discovered that Alexandra wasn’t breathing.

The mother called her local paramedic and an ambulance but they could not save the baby, who died of asphyxia.

Halyna Zakharchuk, the village paramedic, said: ‘There was a smell of milk, a warm place, the cat got inside the pram to warm up.

‘The baby was well dressed, her arms were out. When we came, the baby was still warm… We found the baby in the state of clinical death.

‘I ran there, the ambulance arrived quickly. We could not help… we were trying to resuscitate her for 30 to 40 minutes.’

Local policeman Pavlo Darmorgrai said: ‘The mother saw the cat lying on the baby…sleeping on her head. The baby was already dead.

The family owns two cats, though it is not clear which one was responsible for the girl’s death

Police said the cats were likely attracted to the pram because it was warm and smelled of milk, before deciding to fall asleep there

‘The body was sent to forensic experts, an autopsy was performed. The preliminary opinion of the expert is that it was asphyxia.

‘There are no more injuries on the baby’s body.’

The baby was Snezhana’s only child with her husband Alexander.

The family had two cats, shown by the Ukrainian TSN News channel.

It was not clear which cat caused the tragedy.

Police say the death was ‘accidental’.

‘We are not taking any measures against the mother,’ said Darmorgrai.

‘We understand it is a huge psychological problem in the family now.’

Medic Halyna Zakharchuk said she spent 40 minutes trying to revive Alexandra, but her efforts proved to be in vain
